About snowshoeing:
Snowshoeing is a form of hiking, wearing footwear for walking over snow. With origins roughly 4,000 – 6,000 years ago, this can be considered “the” original snow sport, but also an active way for spending your holiday. You need a pair of snowshoes, a proper terrain and good snow snow conditions. Proper winter clothes are mandatory and poles are suitable for a nice experience.
About the experience:
Romania is a great destination for snowshoeing, but this activity depends the snowing conditions. This is the reason we will decide the exact place for the trip only few weeks before the event.
In the first day we will get together in a nice accommodation place and make the first exercises with the snowshoes.
During the next two days we will have long distance trips with stops for visiting sites, tracking wild animals traces, and having lunch. The estimated hiking time is 5-6 hours per day on average difficulty terrain.
Depending the destination, we can spend the nights in different places.
For participating you don’t need to have long experience with snowshoes, but you need to be familiar with hiking activity.
Optional, we can extend the event for participants willing to continue the trip.
Our “back in time” ingredient is included in the trip! 😉
