Summer School on Human Rights, Minorities and Diversity Management – Focus 2016: “Integration / Disintegration”

The European Academy Bozen/Bolzano (EURAC) Summer School is an interdisciplinary, two-week programme for all those interested in minority rights and diversity management. The 2016 edition explores the theme of “Integration/Disintegration” through a wide range of perspectives and case studies. In seminars and workshops led by international experts from both inside and outside academia, participants will critically engage with topics including international minority protection instruments, the relationship between climate change and migration, the inclusion of migrants and other minority groups, the rise of right-wing extremisms, and debates surrounding the right to self-determination. Field trips in South Tyrol and Switzerland will provide opportunities to gain first-hand experiences of local approaches to minority protection and diversity governance.
